Kim made the remarks while he and his daughter Ju-ae visited the National Aerospace Development Administration on April 18, 2023. He said the deployment would boost surveillance capabilities, a priority to react to “threats” from the US and South Korea, state media reported. Pyongyang has stepped up its missile tests in recent months in what it says is a response to joint military exercises conducted by Washington and Seoul.
