‘No choice’: Hong Kong security boss says residents asked to go into Covid isolation must comply

"If they refuse to go, they can be fined HK$5,000 (US$639) or given up to 2 months in jail," Tang said. His comments come amid concerns about conditions in the government-run facilities for people who test positive for Covid-19 and their close contacts. Isolation is a key part of the government's strategy for stopping the spread of the highly contagious Omicron variant, which has torn through the city since late December and infected more than 600,000 residents. Fishermen rescued by Korean coast guard in fatal Chinese boat accident #shorts

Search teams with the Korean coast guard have pulled another fisherman from the sea after rescuing at least 12 others in a fatal fishing boat accident off the southwestern coast of South Korea. Fifteen men were working on the Chinese vessel when it capsized in rough seas, killing at least four fishermen. The South Korean coast guard is continuing the search on October 21, 2021, for at least two people who remain missing.
