He returned this year with the same message, that Tuvalu is still sinking. With 40 per cent of the capital district under water at daily high tide, the tiny nation is forecast to be completely submerged by the end of the century. The foreign minister said that climate cooperation between the US and China was needed, despite political tensions between both sides that extend to the Pacific islands.
