Tourists reconsider Bali travel after Indonesia bans sex outside marriage

The new criminal codes, which also ban insulting the president, were approved on December 6, 2022, and are scheduled to come into effect in three years’ time. The bans will apply to locals and foreigners alike, and carry punishments of up to one year in jail.
