The Southeast Asian nation has been grappling with food insecurity and inflation, worsened by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The UN World Food Programme has sponsored over 1,000 schools in Cambodia to provide free meals for their students. An estimated 32 per cent of children under five suffer from stunted growth in the country.
