Unvaccinated in the Philippines ordered to stay home under measures to fight Covid-19 case surge

The rules were widened on January 5, 2022, to include the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite and Rizal surrounding the capital. Two days earlier, Metropolitan Manila and its population of about 14 million was placed under the restrictions barring those without jabs from leaving their homes, except for essential reasons. The Philippines is also among eight countries facing a two-week ban on flights into Hong Kong starting January 8. Fishermen rescued by Korean coast guard in fatal Chinese boat accident #shorts

Search teams with the Korean coast guard have pulled another fisherman from the sea after rescuing at least 12 others in a fatal fishing boat accident off the southwestern coast of South Korea. Fifteen men were working on the Chinese vessel when it capsized in rough seas, killing at least four fishermen. The South Korean coast guard is continuing the search on October 21, 2021, for at least two people who remain missing.
