Hong Kong ‘cruises to nowhere’ suspended as ship ordered back to port for emergency Covid testing

Nine of the passengers had been identified as close contacts of a preliminary-positive case linked to a suspected new Omicron cluster in the city. None of the passengers or 1,200-strong crew tested positive. The Hong Kong government ordered all “cruise to nowhere” operators to suspend sailings for two weeks from January 7-20. Fishermen rescued by Korean coast guard in fatal Chinese boat accident #shorts

Search teams with the Korean coast guard have pulled another fisherman from the sea after rescuing at least 12 others in a fatal fishing boat accident off the southwestern coast of South Korea. Fifteen men were working on the Chinese vessel when it capsized in rough seas, killing at least four fishermen. The South Korean coast guard is continuing the search on October 21, 2021, for at least two people who remain missing.
