Javan gibbons found only on one Indonesian island face extinction because of human activity

Local conservation group SwaraOwa is trying to raise awareness about the primate's habitat loss before it is too late. The International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species has already listed the Java gibbon as “endangered”, with only about 4,000 adults left on the island.
